Juicing is cleansing for the body and can detoxify the liver as well as help a lot of other issues like weight loss, improving
the immune system, skin, slow aging process, and prevent cancer. To control the appetite vegetable juices fill you up and
if the taste puts you off there are things like ginger, coconut, coconut water and other things to make it taste better. Juices
are great for dieting due to the fact that you get all your nutrients because the foods are raw, not cooked to remove the
beneficial things in the food.

There are tips about juicing itself and the preparation of the fruit or vegetable, how to choose them, how to choose a juicer,

The recipes are good and the instructions easy to understand and follow. A well written book with good organization.

Great for detoxing and losing weight!

Great if you’re looking to get cleansed, detoxed, and lose weight. You may get headaches, or strong cravings, it is normal for the first 2-4 days. Just stay focused and stay on the juice. Make an extra Juice to drink if you feel like you’re about to cave in and eat something solid. Also, remember to drink at least 16 oz of water after each juice meal. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water throughout the day.

This is an quick guide to a lot of good juicing recipes. Also talks about juicing health benefits if you're into that.

My wife and I got a juicer about a month ago and have been playing around with it here and there. We made some good juices and without too many directions we made some pretty nasty juices too. Naturally I looked around for some good recipes and found this e-book.
The first few chapters focus on dieting with juices which is something I’m not really interested in, nonetheless it’s good stuff for those who are looking into it. For me I was looking primarily for the recipes so I could make some good tasting juices. So far I’ve tried the Orange Mango and the coconut mango. Both were awesome they tasted healthy and refreshing. I’m excited to keep trying new recipes in the book with the assurance that they are good for us.

I added a picture of the orange mango juice that we made. I like it with the pulp so I put some back into the juice. Good stuff.

Excellent Book for Precalculus

I used this book for several students I tutored in both Honors and Regular Precalculus. The book has plenty of clear examples in each section with practice problems. The illustrations are useful in helping understand difficult concepts such as Polar Coordinates, Conic Sections, Polar Coordinates of Conic Sections, Vectors, Trigonometry. The only weakness may be it's coverage of probability, but the Algebra 2 Glencoe book covers it very well. The examples and challenge problems in each section are great for the Honors level students needing more challenge.

Zhou Dunyi’s theory of the interpenetration of activity and stillness allowed Zhu Xi to proclaim that his own theory of mental and spiritual cultivation mirrored the fundamental principle immanent in the natural world. This book revives Zhu Xi as a religious thinker, challenging longstanding characterizations of him. Readers will appreciate the inclusion of complete translations of Zhou Dunyi’s major texts, Zhu Xi’s published commentaries, and other primary source material.

A definite buy.

Finally! A lucid explanation of why Zhu Xi seemed to think that he needed to bring the cosmology of Zhou Dunyi (with its somewhat jumbled and obscure talk of yin-yang, and the five phases, along with its disconnected metaphysics) into the mix of Song Confucianism. Although I wish that some of Joseph Adler's English translations had been as innovative as his translation of wu-ji er tai-ji as' nonpolarity and yet supreme polarity' (for example, his use of the mechanistic 'will' instead of say, 'intention,' for zhi), and that he had not relied so heavily on the academy's traditional interpretations, this book is overall a terrific achievement.

Thatcher - a non self serving grocer's daughter.

I tried to buy a copy of this book on July 4 (Charter day/Independence Day) from Charter Books, but Charter Books do not serve overseas customers. Charter books are too new, have too high prices, and have yet to sell anything. Thus I am unable to become the Charter Customer of Charter Book. Darn.
I am buying a copy "Memories of Maggie", from another source.
I will be particularly interested in what the book says about Thatcher's younger days in a grocer's shop, where she probably learned to serve the customer's interest, except occassionally when the customer's needs could not be met, and the young Thatcher could shine explaining alternatives.
Thus Thatcher become a World Leader with a non-self-serving frame of mind (I admit to not liking her at the time), unlike many other tyrants for whom self-servingness is a way of life. The Thatcher revolution "chartered" a new way.
Back to Charter Books. So long as other book shops in the neighbourhood sell at normal prices, there is nothing wrong in you selling at tenfold prices, though you may need to make exceptions from time to time.

Well-intentioned but inconclusive and dated

Chancer attempts to mediate between two sides of feminism, those arguing against potentially patriarchal-based activities like pornography and sadomasochism and those arguing that pornography and the like present an opportunity for sexual liberation and cultural growth. She successfully presents both sides of the arguments by summarizing the work of other scholars.
But: That's basically all the book does. Chancer doesn't offer much of her own opinion, and where she does, she merely offers a rehashing of another scholar's work. This book fails to dive into the true tensions behind sadomasochism or pornography, and I found myself skimming sections in search of new, exciting ideas.
This is perhaps a decent resource for someone studying the birth of third-wave feminism, but otherwise, the book is simply dated and fails to illuminate new ideas.

The Intelligent Man's Guide To Science (1960) by Isaac Asimov should be on everyone's bookshelf. This is not a book that will easily go out of date. The philosophy of science is unchanging. It may take a while to read through it,but you'll be better off for it. If you are an intelligent person.

I've seen this book criticized because some of the facts, which could easily be checked were wrong. Possibly the person who made this comment did not know that the "Good Doctor" wrote on a manual typewriter (sometimes even at the beach) and didn't have a SMART PHONE to check his facts with. You might as well criticize Shakespeare for not using a "spell checker". I include the copyright date for a reason, folks.

This is a book that I'm giving to a rising 9th grader and suggesting that he read it every five years, When he can understand half ot it I'll consider him an informed man in the Physical Sciences.

About the Author

UMRAN S. INAN is Professor of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, where he serves as Director of the Space, Telecommunications, and Radioscience (STAR) Laboratory. He has received the 1998 Stanford University Tau Beta Pi Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching, and actively conducts research in electromagnetic waves in plasmas, lightning discharges, ionospheric physics, and very low frequency remote sensing. Dr. Inan has served as the Ph.D. thesis advisor for 13 students and is a senior member of IEEE, a member of Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Xi, the American Geophysical Union, the Electromagnetics Academy, and serves as Secretary of U.S. National Committee of the International Union of Radio Science (URSI).

AZIZ S. INAN is Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Portland, where he has also served as Department Chairman. A winner of the University's faculty teaching award, he conducts research in electromagnetic wave propagation in conducting and inhomogeneous media. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi and IEEE.

Successful integration of earlier two books...

Integration of authors earlier two books on Engineering Electromagnetics (which did not do transmission and reflections vs arbitrary incident angle) and Electromagnetic Waves (which had general transmission and reflection case, but not electro and magneto statics). If you have the earlier two books, you have just about everything and more that is included in this single volume with the exception of some newer examples. Very nice descriptions of distributed vs lumped components and time delay. Nice examples abound, for example, dielectric waveguides using InGaAs and InP semiconductors and use of forces on capacitor in MEMs, and an introduction to metamaterials. A bit wordy, but generally interesting reading. Gives nice phase plots in addition to magnitude when talking about reflection and transmission, which seems a rarity in most books. Antenna theory not covered at all, which is a bit of a disappointment if one is looking for a complete volume for the undergraduate EE. No numerical or variational methods and nothing on coplanar or microstrip lines. Wish some author somewhere would explain how size of hole in Faraday cage affects shielding effectiveness and include enough of a discussion of variational methods so undergrads would realize that the capacitance of a pair of conductors of an odd shape is always smaller than the capacitance of some known configuration that would enclose them, such as parallel wires enclosing rectangular wires (i.e. how to set useful upper and lower bounds for capacitance, resistance, inductance without detailed calculation) but you still need to find such usefuls facts in Jackson or Collin end of chapter problems.

Awesome layman's commentary

Dr Wiersbe's Bible Exposition Commentary of the NT is a superb commentary set of the NT. His writing is supremely readable and easy to understand. He discusses many controversial topics that are pertinent to today's society and gives good references for his ideas. Wiersbe teaches from a conservative Scriptural basis, but is not unduly literal. Wiersbe covers an amazing amount of information within these two volumes. I use these more frequently than any other commentary set that I own. He adds history and some lexical analysis where it counts to help the reader understand key Biblical concepts. I currently own these and the BE commentary on the Pentateuch. I can't wait to complete my set.

While we use the word "layman" to describe the commentary, it is useful for people of all levels of knowledge and application. I use it frequently in my pursuit of my seminary masters degree.

I hope these help illuminate God's Word to His students.
